According to the results, its antibacterial effect on microorganisms was also examined. The results were as follows: 1) According to the gas chromatography(GC) analysis, caprylic acid(octanoic acid, C8), synthetic base of C8MG was contained in about 0.1% of C8MG. 2) Fatty acid composition of C8MG was represented by C8(99.9%) and capric acid(C10) (0.01%); high purity product was in use for C8MG. 3) According to the GC analysis of the purities of 3 companies' C8MG, monoglyceride (MG) and diglyceride (DG) showed purities of 91~93% and 4.0~5.6%, respectively. 4) Monoglyceride composition was represented by α-monoglyceride(93.7%) and β-monoglyceride(6.9%). 5) In the antibacterial test using microorganisms, C8MG containing caprylic acid at a content of as low as 0.1% had no antibacterial effect. 6) High purity C8MG had high antibacterial effect no microorganisms.}, pages = {8--14}, title = {グリセリン脂肪酸エステル(カプリル酸モノグリセリド)の成分分析および微生物に対する抗菌効果について}, volume = {21}, year = {1990} }
